Not all men, but it only takes one

Women are growing increasingly wary of men as a whole because far too many are committing heinous crimes against us.

This is a huge topic of conversation, and has been for a long time, often pitting (uneducated, narrow-minded) men and (well-informed, often experienced) women against each other.

Man: “But it’s not all men. I don’t do that.
Woman: “If I gave you a pack of 100 Skittles and told you there were five Skittles in there that were poisoned, would you still risk eating them?”
Man: “…no.”
Woman: “I rest my case.”

With a lot appearing in the news recently about the ‘manosphere’ and how men have been treating women for literal centuries, it’s no suprise that women are more actively choosing to remain single and will generally ‘choose the bear’, meaning we would rather risk our lives with a wild animal than subject ourselves to potential assault by a man who, in theory, should have more intelligence than an animal. With the recent revelation of a ‘rape academy’ (one of many, I’m sure) online where men assist each other in doing dispicable things to women, including their own wives (see the Gisèle Pelicot case), it’s more important than ever to raise awareness so women can better protect themselves and understand the signs of drug-facilitated sexual abuse (DFSA). Please check out the full CNN investigation, because although it’s a harrowing read, we need to stay informed.

Unfortunately I don’t have a lot of time to really dig into this subject matter right now, so just know that I am deep in the trenches of reading and hearing what is being revealed and taking notes on how women are fighting hard for their rights and standing up for themselves against a patriarchal system that still refuses to believe them the majority of the time, because, sadly, you never know when it might happen to you. Because although it only takes one man, in reality, we know it’s far, far more than one individual.
